Founder Ramp Technology Group and Founder HomeGrocer.com
Terry Drayton is the entrepreneur behind six successful start-ups. Prior to founding his latest startups, Count Me In and Ramp Technology Group, Terry co-founded HomeGrocer.com. He served as president and director of HomeGrocer.com, from its inception in the fall of 1996 to its sale in June of 2000 to Webvan.com for $1.1 Billion. More than 100,000 customers used the service with annualized sales in 2000 of approximately $400 million, making HomeGrocer.com the largest Internet grocer in the world. During this time, Mr Drayton and company raised more than $440 million in capital, including an IPO lead managed by Morgan Stanley for $280 million in March of 2000. Mr Drayton is often referred to as a serial entrepreneur and won the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Pacific Northwest. He holds Bachelor of Commerce and MBA degrees. |
