We had a release last week with some features that I already wrote about. Now, this week, we released a couple of new applications again.
iPlay
iPlay is our music player. You can upload files to iPlay and then listen to them. The user interface is pretty similar to our Photos application (and iTunes) and should feel familiar to a lot of people. We will add a "mini view" soon that is similar to for example Winamps minimized view. We'll also add an extra playlist view soon for those people who prefer to have the ability to search in the library and see the current play list at the same time.
We also preloaded your account with a play list consisting of songs made by the Xcerion employee Peter Wahlgren.

Map application
We also created a simple application where you can find a location on a map, put a marker there and then save to a file that you can reopen later on or share with other people. We'll expand on this application and fix so you can add several markers to a map (if you're going on sightseeing for example). The application won't be added to the desktop automatically so you need to look in the Applications menu on the left on the desktop and then under Internet to find it. You can also open up the Control Panel (under the System menu on the left on the desktop) and then, on the Applications tab under the System section, find the Google Maps application and set the check box for the application to be visible on the dekstop.

Microsoft Word conversion
We've also added a conversion utitlity that converts Microsoft Word documents into a format readable by our Write application. The conversion isn't perfect and loses some data but it will at least try to handle images and "normal" text formatting (what fits in HTML, advanced layouts aren't supported). You can start using it by first uploading a Word document and then double click on the file in the Document Explorer to reach the conversion wizard.
