What does "XML-based" actually mean in this context? "XML-based" normally makes more sense when talking about documents or data. What does it mean for an "Operating System" to be "XML-based”?
 

We believe referring to XIOS as an XML-based Operating System correctly reflects the fact that everything in XIOS is described in XML. That includes applications, application logic, documents, user interface, processes and transactions.

 

The XML Virtual Machine executes all application logic within XIOS.

 

Another way of viewing XIOS is as the worlds most advanced editor, database, execution and processing environment for XML.
